The daVinci Triumph 2016

Transmedic organised “The daVinci Triumph 2016” dinner on 11 April 2016 to celebrate the achievements of surgeons who have become highly-skilled at using the daVinci robot.

Plaques were presented by the Asia Pacific Manager of Intuitive Surgical Inc., creators of the daVinci robot, to the respective doctors to recognise their professional accomplishments:

Immersion Program With St Paul’s Hospital, Ilo Ilo

Transmedic Singapore welcomed the team from St Paul’s Hospital, Ilo Ilo, for a visit to our headquarters on 3 March 2016. The group first attended Stryker and RF Ablation product presentations by our product managers, then proceeded to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) for a full-day immersion program. Through the program, they were able to learn about best practices from the various departments at TTSH, and form valuable relationships.

da Vinci Robotic Surgery – Cancer Symposium 2016

Transmedic Singapore’s daVinci team recently took part in the Inaugural Cancer Symposium at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on 19 March 2016.

The focus of the symposium was to provide a better understanding of all cancer-related conditions to participants, and to introduce relevant options for treatment. This is one example of many community events that Transmedic proactively supports in order to promote public awareness on cancer and the options they have for treatment today.

An Overview Of Point Of Care Testing by Prof Aw In Sumbagut 2016

Prof Aw Tar Choon was invited by Transmedic Indonesia to give a presentation on Point Of Care Testing (POCT) in the PBPK event for the region of SUMBAGUT, from 3rd – 5th March 2016.

Prof Aw Tar Choon holds concurrent appointments in healthcare, academia, and industry. He is a part-time Consultant in Laboratory Medicine at Changi General Hospital (CGH) and was Chief of the Department of Laboratory Medicine of the National University Hospital (NUH) from 1988-2002, as well as the Medical Director of the NUS Alexandra campus Hospital (1995-2000).
