In Malaysia, Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) is taking another important step forward in its cardiac PET journey with the adoption of Jubilant Radiopharma’s RUBY-FILL® Rubidium Rb-82 Generator and RUBY Rubidium Elution System. 

Building on IJN’s established experience in Rubidium-82 cardiac PET imaging, the new system brings newer-generation Rubidium-82 generator and elution technology to the institution, providing greater flexibility to tailor administered activity according to individual patient and imaging requirements. 

The milestone brings together IJN’s leadership in cardiovascular care, Jubilant Radiopharma’s innovation in nuclear medicine and Transmedic’s local clinical and technical expertise to further strengthen cardiac PET capabilities in Malaysia.

A More Personalised Approach to Cardiac PET imaging

 

An important capability of the RUBY-FILL® Generator, together with the RUBY Rubidium Elution System, is the flexibility to tailor administered activity according to factors such as a patient’s weight and specific imaging requirements. 

Rather than applying a uniform activity approach across patients or broad BMI categories, clinical teams have greater flexibility to optimize the administered activity for each individual examination. 

This supports the principle of using the lowest activity necessary to obtain diagnostically adequate cardiac PET images while enabling a more patient-specific approach to imaging.
